The virtues of the argument include common sense, which is also a commonplace among the viewers who share this view

On the Side For Pronoun Legislation
Pete Peet identifies as non-binary and is a New Zealand citizen with a passport using an unspecified gender. He is also a professor of physics at the University of Toronto
Kindness
A.W. Peet takes the emotional route to get his point across
He urges everyone to be kind and that it is just a basic human courtesy to call someone by their pronoun
He then goes on to suggest, “it’s not that hard to put people’s pronouns in your phone”. When he can’t remember what the pronoun is, Peet will just look it up in his phone
This can be described as “virtue signaling”, by trying to show the audience that he morally correct.
Since his argument is based on morals, that directly correlates with people’s feelings, and people want to feel good, so this is a commonplace among the audience that supports Peet.
The commonplace is high morals, and this would show their virtues are morally correct, but not everyone has the same definition for morals
