Heated Debate on Gender Pronouns and Free Speech in Toronto. YouTube, 29 Oct.                       2016, www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iy4vq8RdPGU.

This youtube video did an interview between Jordan Peterson and A.W. Peet. Jordan Peterson did not want pronoun legislation and A.W. Peet did. Jordan Peterson used the argument of having freedom of speech while Peet argued how kindness should be the motive. This was uploaded and recorded in Canada on the CBC news channel.

This interview was conducted by the CBC news channel and gives an in depth view of how both sides feel about the situation. Jordan and Peet were both given enough time to fully express their opinions and try to make sense of what they were saying to the audience. Because enough time was allowed between the people being interviewed, an in depth knowledge experience was portrayed.

I will incorporate this source by having both points of view on the website. It is very important to make sure to have all viewpoints in order to get the full picture. This source includes the bulk of my information on the website, and for good reason. By comparing what Peterson and Peet say, there can be an effective and informative website.

Singman, Brooke. “New California Law Allows Jail Time for Using Wrong Gender Pronoun, Sponsor Denies That Would Happen.” Fox News, FOX News Network, 9 Oct. 2017, www.foxnews.com/politics/new-california-law-allows-jail-time-for-using-wrong-gender-pronoun-sponsor-denies-that-would-happen.

This article explained how there was a new california law that allows the imprisonment and/or fine for people who do not use the correct gender pronouns. Jerry Brown, who signed the legislation, said it was a scare tactic to protect the rights of the LGBT, and that no one would become a criminal if they did this. Greg Burt from the California Family council stated his opinion as such, “How can you believe in free speech, but think the government can compel people to use certain pronouns when talking to others?”

The reliability of this source can be derived from the audience. Millions of people trust this source, and Fox News is worth about $7.57 billion. The bias of Fox News leans to the right, so the information is portrayed differently than how someone on the left would present it. Fox News has been around since the 1980s so there is a long history that can show that this source is reliable.

The way I will use this source is by putting it in certain parts of my website. I would put this information close to the point where I was explaining freedom of speech. This would be the best spot for it because it is synonymous with that issue. I will also use this source in the last page of my website where I put the bibliography
